Gwinnett County Ga is situated in the suburbs of the state of Georgia in the USA. The county has a population of 588,448 according to the census of 2000, but there has been a steady rise in its population in the past decade. The county was founded in the year 1818 and named after one of the delegates Button Gwinnett. He had signed the United States Declaration of Independence on behalf of Georgia. The growing population of the Gwinnett County owes much to the rapid development regarding civic amenities, public primary and secondary schools, libraries, parks and the best known Gwinnett Center - a place for entertainment and recreation visited by many people, even outside the Gwinnett County.

Another small airport exists in the county of Gwinnett, the Gwinnett County Briscoe Field which is the municipality airport close to Lawrenceville.
Health facilities provided to the county of Gwinnett include the Gwinnett Medical Center located in two places, one at Lawrenceville and the other at Duluth. There is a third hospital, the Emory Eastside Medical Center. The Gwinnett County public schools are one of the fastest growing public schools in the state of Georgia as well as among all other states in the Southeastern region of United States.
The Gwinnett Center, now called the Infinite Energy Center is one of the best places of Gwinnett County used for other recreational and entertainment purposes for various sections. These include the Huygens Center, Performing Arts Center, Convention Center and the Area. Entertainment and shopping venues make Gwinnett a frequently visited place by tourists. Located in Duluth, the super-regional shopping center, or more commonly the Gwinnett Place Mall was first opened in the year 1984. Gwinnett Mall was originally home to the brand of Rich's, Davison's and Sears. Mervyns’ joined the mall in 1986, and the name was later changed to Macy's. The following years saw JC Penney take over Macy's. Gwinnett Mall is built in a similar fashion to that of the Town Center Mall that is located on the northwestern side of Atlanta. In 1999 and 2001, the Mall of Georgia and the Discover Mills were opened respectively. This had greatly affected the sales and existence of the Gwinnett Mall, being unable to attract much of sales from customers. However, a Korean firm saved it by filling up the void. Over the past decade, malls have been in demand as shopping centers, and none have been much of a failure. The Gwinnett County is a fantastic place with lots of places to visit and gives visitors a good experience.
